DDLJ is a movie about a girl that is bought up in a traditional Indian movie with a traditional old school dad that had already promised his daughter to his best mate son.

The young boy in the movie is a free sport playboy of sorts not taking life seriously.

The boy and girl Raj and Simran that’s the characters names. Played by Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. To my knowledge, this was the first movie they got together as a great on-screen couple.

Anyhow Raj is a college failure and celebrates with his mates and they go to a gas station to pick up some beer and thing go wrong from there.

The movie is a three-hour romantic comedy and a musical in one.

For me what is most important about this movie is about how the old school traditional where parents choose your partners are not the way to go and several years ago I remember asking friends that got hitched as a kinda arranged marriage was the fact they got to meet each other and get to know each other before they decided to make it official and they are happily married until today.

The extra thing that is really good as well as the soundtrack I feel the soundtrack itself should get 10/10 just for the music.

This is in my top ten movies of all time and this includes English and foreign-language movies.

DDLJ has one of the best dramatic and funny fight scenes you will ever watch near the end of the movie as the strikes that are thrown are one of the best shadow fight shots you will ever see.

I am just going to add one more thing and maybe this will make me look like a hopeless romantic but the hit song the movie has called “Tujhe Dekha To” is the best love song ballet of all time in my opinion. Watch the movie just for this song other songs are awesome as well.

Do yourself a favour and watch this movie and fall in love with Raj and Simran

10/10
