MOVIE REVIEWS: WIFELIKE R+18 2022 (PLEX)
The story revolves around a kinda futuristic police unit that goes out every day and night and finds faulty and robots female companions that run away from their so-called husbands they find them and bring them back to the manufacturer to be wiped and well formated and started again so that they can fall in line and be the submissive and as the movie states sex slaves. It’s a mix of 1950s housewives meets The Stepford Wives.
I decided to watch something off my server last night and well I needed some escapism after the sad tale of Harry & Megan. I decided to watch Wifelike a SciFi flick that was different but had the same elements as some of the other Sci-Fi flicks you may have seen about robots becoming more human.
Wifelike is a movie about the recent futuristic world we could live in where when wives pass away and your husband misses you to the point he can recreate your consciousness and bring you back and not feel that loss. Well, this is what the advertisement lets you believe but as they say, do not judge a book by its cover.

Wifelike goes down the rabbit hole and shows you the sick future we could have as a human race and how bad the treatment of women can get. If this is the message that the filmmaker is trying to send then he does a great job. I sit there and watch this and think straight away to myself that this is not right and it’s not that hard to know what side your own.

I do not recommend this as a date movie with your wife or girlfriend you will get in trouble if you have any point of view towards this movie lol.
This movie has two as the Hollywood actors now call it in interviews which I saw the other day call sex scenes or “intimacy Scenes” Wifelike has two intimacy scenes that give it a hard pardon the pun R+18 rating and also is violent and the violence reminds me of Sly Stallone in Demolition Man

There is one actor that you may know from a movie called Bend it Like Beckham he plays the cop that brings back the faulty robotic wives and has one of them himself he is played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Jonathan plays a man called William Bradwell and well you see he tries and fixes the issues that his own robotic wife has until there is a twist and this twist is the one thing that you do not see coming in the movie and makes the movie interesting to watch.
A movie that you would watch once but honestly there is no rewatch value.
Not suitable for kids at all and some adults may find this movie inappropriate seeing how we are in the “me too” movement era and woke era people may have issues with this movie. Well if you are in those two groups this is not recommended for you.
