MOVIE REVIEWS: Prisoners of the Ghostland 2021 (PLEX)

From the vast library of movies that I have collected over the years, I decided to visit one of Nicolas Cage’s straight-to-DVD or Video on Demand movies called “Prisoners of the Ghostland” A Western-based Action film that had links to one of Jason Statams movies where a bomb gets strapped to him and he has to keep the adrenaline up or it explodes kinda thing well this movie has this same element except he has to not get excited kinda the opposite and it was a post-apocalyptic flick as well kinda looked like the same universe as Mad Max and I have never seen that movie either.

This movie is about a man called Hero played by Cage that has to go and save Berniece played by Sofia Boutella in the process Hero figures out that the guy that has made forced him into this quest is the actual bad guy and somehow to keep himself alive and Bernice and end the governors rule on this end of the earth hell of a place.

While bringing this movie up on a google search I had seen that one viewer gave this movie five stars and I even writing this right now still do not understand how you would give this movie a five-star rating I will struggle to give this one star let alone any more.

We all know that Cage’s movies for a long time are not the best and he makes some bad choices in what movies to say yes to but I guess if Cage still has debts to pay then yes he has to make these crappy movies.

This is a one-time watch for me and is not suitable for any children and most adults as well. I do not know what else to say but watch this if you are a die-hard fan of Nicholas Cage other than that please do yourself a favour and give it a miss.

No famous cast except Cage and no real performances stand out this is just a quick cash grab for all and well if you need to keep yourself afloat I guess this will have to do to get yourself into the business.

My Rating

Rating: 0 out of 5.
