MOVIE REVIEWS: On the Line (2022) AMAZON & APPLE TV

This is no “Hello Vietnam” radio movie. This is a thriller that will keep you in your seat until the very end and although you feel that the whole plot is linear and has a beginning and an end there are so many twists and turns that it feels like a good thriller novel that they took from the pages and turned into a ninety-minute thriller that again will keep you on the edge of your seat.

We have Mel Gibson who leads the mostly new young cast that is all part of a radio show Mel’s character Elvis is a disc jockey for a radio show that airs at midnight and well who wants to do the graveyard shift on the radio as you do not really have a social and family life.

Elvis hosts the show and he gives kind of love and life advice over the phone live on the radio to the callers that call in from long lost loves and cheating couples and everything and anything in between when it comes to relationships.

Then all of a sudden things take a dark turn and Elvis takes a call from a person by the name of Gary who at first seems to be suicidal then after Elvis keeps him on the line for a bit we see Gary’s true intentions are to go after Elvis and Elvis young family and all because Elvis made fun of Gary’s girlfriend to the point that Gary’s girlfriend committed suicide and now Gary is back to take revenge and Gary wants Elvis dead.

This is the whole concept and plot of the short movie and we are taken on this journey to see what occurs Elvis saves his family and sacrifices himself for his family.

“On The Line” is a literal rollercoaster that will keep you going up and down until the very end.

This is an adult movie that I would say for grown-ups to watch first and then it’s up to the adults to figure out if it’s a movie for younger audiences to watch or not I leave that up to you.

This is a one-time watch with no real rewatch value but a good story that you will be hooked into watching. I would not classify this as a hidden gem but a movie that is worth ninety minutes of your time.

Watch this and then drop me a comment and tell me what you think of this movie Even if you have already seen it let me know what you think in the comments.
