Fixing Windows 11 Boot Loops: A User’s Guide

I normally would not write a blog about a video tutorial I have created, but this has a story behind it, and it’s an important message to have out there for everyone.

I had a user who came to me reporting that their internet was cutting in and out while on a video call with another person. Normally, we can do a network adapter reset, which will disconnect your wifi connection and reset your computer, and when you come back, you will get the login screen, and you can connect again at the bottom of the login screen.

In this scenario, the worst-case scenario occurred where, after the reboot, the laptop started the endless loop of the automatic repair screen. I tried the Windows 11 startup repair tool, which did nothing.

You can do a startup repair as above, but for my scenario, it just failed and then continued the preparing automatic repair loop. I then tried booting from a restore point and unfortunately, the way our images are created no restore points were made.

I then spoke to the end user and advised the situation we were in, and we had no choice but to reset the PC. I then proceeded to reset this laptop and because this was a new laptop with only one user I decided to do the repair install keeping my files

This step was our saving grace because only the window’s image was corrupted somehow, and not any of the user’s files so I decided to choose to keep my files. This made the normally three-hour process a 40 to 1hr process, and the beautiful thing was the computer reset with the same user’s profile, and we came back to the normal login screen and logged in and all files and the users windows profile was still in tact and we were cooking with oil again and we both checked access to what the user required and it was all in place.

At the above of this blog as what the heading advises this issue could be caused by just closing your laptop lid to save you the hastle of this please take a look at the video tutorial so if you want to saftely close the lid and shut down your laptop we show you how to set this up on your laptop.

Make sure you make the change for Plugged in & On Battery
